Meeuwig was Instrument maker in Haarlem, 1880-1920. Between 1880-1886 he was supervisor of F.W. Funckler's workshop. In 1920 his workshop was taken over by the brothers Verpoorten. Company addresses: 1886-1911 Gedempte oude gracht 37, Haarlem,1909 Kruisstraat 19, Haarlem. Meeuwig produced lightning rods, "luchtdruk-en elektrische schellen", telephones, chemical and physical instruments, chemical glasses, batteries, barometers, thermometers, compass boxes, glasses, lenses, microscopes, irrigators, inhalations devices.
