Biography:
Engraver at the Plantijn publishing house in Antwerp between 1607 and 1618. He also engraved astronomical instruments at the atelier of Michel Coignet. Arsenius worked mostly in Antwerp (1579-1628), but also in Louvain (1573-1579). His astrolabes are very similar to those of his father, Gualterus Arsenius. It is thus not certain whether Ferdinand made these astrolabes himself or only completed the work done by his father.
