Biography:
Scientific instrument maker in Arnhem. Buddingh received his training in France. In 1855 he bought Christopher Becker's company on the Eusebiusbinnensingel in Arnhem. He renamed the company into 'Becker & Buddingh'. In 1864 they moved to the Rijnkade near the Ooststraat, where it stayed until 1906. In the 1880s the company received the title 'Royal'; eventually, it was sold to the city of Arnhem.
