Instrument maker in Arnhem (Bovenbergstraat and Koningstraat) from ca 1891. Founder and owner of an instrument company (with his cousin Stöpler) 'Stöpler & Loth', in Utrecht 1903. Closely aquaintented with the Arnhem surgeon Dr. W. Renssen. The result of this cooperation was the development of new orthopedic products. Around 1917 Martin Loth and his brother Julius Loth (owner of a factory in prosthetic limbs in Koslin) developed a new prosthetic joint.
