Lord of Alblasserdam, Zoon van Andries Boogaert van Alblasserdam and Jacoba Weveringh. Boogaert studied Law at the University of Leiden. He became a citizen of Rotterdam on 12 oct. 1757, where he became commissioner of 'waterrecht' in 1759. He was appointed 'schepen' in 1763 and became a member of 'Vroedschap van Rotterdam' the same year. He held several public positions, e.g. overseer of the city (baljuw) from 1776-1779, member of the 'gecommitteerde raad' from 1773-1775, 1784-1787, member of the 'Hollandsche Rekenkamer' from 1779-1782, Maecenaat of the 'Bataafsch Genootschap Rotterdam'. He was married to Sophia Adriana van den Bergh, Maria Elisabeth Carré and Johanna Maria van der Werf.

Son of Hans Willem Bentinck and Jane Marthe Temple. He was sent to Holland in 1719 where Johan Hendrik, Count of Wassenaer acted as his guardian. He studied in Leiden and The Hague and travelled in Europe in 1725-1728. Bentinck was included in the 'Hollandsche Ridderschap' in 1727 and because of this, he became a representative of the States of Holland and West-Friesland. In 1733 he married Charlotte Sophia van Aldenburg, countess of the Holy Roman Empire, who left him in 1738 and who he divorced in 1743. He became a curator of the Leidsche Hoogeschool in 1745 and was 'dijkgraaf' of Rijnland since 1748.
Bentinck was a supporter of the Stadtholder and the house of Orange-Nassau and had a large share in the revolution of 1747 and its subsequent events. In 1753 he became member and chair of 'Gecommitteerde raden van het Zuiderkwartier'.

Son of Pieter Cornets de Groot, descendant of Grotius. Studied Law in Leiden from 1728. Became citizen of Rotterdam the same year, where he held different municipal offices from 1738. First as alderman ('schepen'), later as administrator of the O.I.C. (VOC) chamber in Rotterdam. Married Jacoba Elizabeth Noortheij in 1739. Married Geertruyd Noorthey in 1757. 1744-1772 'Vroedschapslid', 1748-1769 repeatedly appointed mayor of Rotterdam, 1758-1762 commissioner of the Admiralty on the Meuse, 1769-1772 member of the 'Maecenaten van het Bataafs Genootschap te Rotterdam'. He also was appointed chief commissioner of the country's postal service by the 'Staten van Holland en West-Friesland'.

Lord of Alblasserdam. Son of Nicolaas Boogaert, mayor of Delft. Studied Law in Utrecht. In 1730 he became a citizen of Rotterdam. He married Ignatia Geertruida Timmers in 1732 and he made a second marriage with Maria Wilhelmina Boey in 1734. He was appointed chief commissioner of water law in 1732. Three years later he was appointed 'schepen' and in 1748 'vroedschapslid'. Boogaert held several other municipal offices, as he was e.g. appointed mayor ten times during his life. Due to political sentiments he was deposed by the Prince of Orange in 1788.

Dutch historian, antiquary and poet. Van Wijn studied Law in Leiden. He was one of the co-founders of the 'Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde'. He became a lawyer in The Hague and corresponded with many Dutch and foreign literary scholars. He was appointed 'pensionaris' of Den Briel in 1771 and held the same position a few years later in Gouda until 1788. He became archivist of the 'Bataafsche Republiek' in 1802 and lived in The Hague. He was originator of the Dutch National Archive. King Louis Bonaparte granted him the 'ridderorde der Unie' and a membership 'der tweede klasse van het Koninklijk Instituut van Kunsten en Wetenschappen'. King William I confirmed his post and granted him the 'Leeuwenorde'.

He held several municipal offices and was appointed mayor repeatedly during the years 1758-1773. He was a member of the Admiralty of the river Meuse during the years 1668-1771 and also one of the administrators of the O.I.C. chamber in Rotterdam. From 1769-1780 Gevers was Maecenas of the 'Bataafsch Genootschap der Proefondervindelijke Wijsbegeerte' in Rotterdam. He was appointed 'meesterknaap' of the 'jagtgerigt de houtvesterij' in Holland and West-Friesland. Gevers married Kenau Deynoot in 1740, and Catharina Wilhelmina van der Staal in 1754. He owned a natural cabinet: 'kabinet van natuurlijke zeldzaamheden' which was worth a visit, as it was frequently visited by official visitors to Rotterdam.
